On a recent episode of WWE Network’s “Table for 3” show, Road Dogg made a very interesting revelation. AJ Styles’ current theme song wasn’t actually written for him. Instead, it was written for Impact Wrestling’s James Storm during his time in NXT.
Storm had a run with NXT back in 2015, but ultimately decided to return to IMPACT Wrestling. AJ Styles made his debut in WWE in January of 2016 and used the theme. Here’s what Road Dogg had to say:
“That was originally written and developed for James Storm,” said Road Dogg. “And James passed [on the theme song] and he went a different direction, and AJ stepped in and it just worked out perfectly.”
