Riott Squad leader Ruby Riott will challenge RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey for her title at Elimination Chamber this weekend (Sun. February 17, 2019). The match was announced by WWE via Twitter several days ago. The winner of Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott will go on to defend the title against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.
However, many have been writing Ruby Riott off before her match with Rousey has even taken place, instead focusing on whether or not Flair or Becky Lynch will be standing opposite “The Rowdy One” in New Jersey in April. Ruby Riott took to Twitter to voice her frustrations about being “underrated and disregarded”:
My title match was announced via tweet.
The matches announced for Wrestlemania don’t even have me as a possible contender.
I’ve been underrated & disregarded.
But after I beat @RondaRousey this Sunday, I won’t be overlooked again.
And @MsCharlotteWWE I’ll see you at Wrestlemania
